In the first part of this topic, you were briefed of Turks origins as people and The Decline and Fall of the Ottoman Empire of which I'm going to finish here. After the Young Turks revolution and the second Constitutional Era, in the Empire major reforming attitudes were shown, the Cretans declared union with Greece, the Albanians declared the Latin Alphabet as the standard script and the Italians declared war. It happened in 1919. Seeing how easy it was, the Balkan League attacked … [Read more...]

A few facts about Turkey and Turkish politics
I like Turkey. I lived there for a significant number of years, and I think I grasped somehow the local spirit. If I have sometimes different opinions than the mainstream, my reasons are personal. I had the opportunity to have transited quick enough the "foreigner" status, although this not making me quite a genuine Turk. For a number of years I lived in a very closed community, with me in and out of it, depending on my moods and the degree of common interests we shared. Here come the personal … [Read more...]
Kitchen Utensils, a Way of Artistic Cooking
Kitchen utensils are at least as important as the cooking itself, for creating the perfect meal. I've seen a German cook once, on a pro veggie television, cooking with nice fry pans, but cutting with a minuscule knife directly on the table, taking all the components with his sausage like fingers, and throwing them in the pan, after he poured olive oil directly from the bottle, some commercial brand, always the same, saying: "and now, after the pan is hot enough, four soup spoons of Mediterranean … [Read more...]
Spamming on Twitter
I feel I can't stop talking about Twitter! Of course it represents a favorite subject as I'm writing a book on it. I have a very high opinion on this new trendy way of communicate and socialize. It is my alternative to myspace (if you remember, it was my first love, which I left without regrets, after degeneration), Facebook, and I don't know, Buzz? Yahoo Messenger or Skype are tools I'm using to communicate with friends and close ones, but if I'm thinking now, lately I was just talking with … [Read more...]
Six Benefits of the New Twitter Interface, Not!!!
Some RT just hit my face, because it had to do with @Problogger, and it was about the benefits of the new Twitter interface, instead any application. Now, subjective or not, I read the article and I shall tell my opinion. It was good because this is helping me in my writing of the ultimate Twitter Guide which I assure you again, it will contradict the majority of sellers and Grand Marketeers on the market, the internet market, as it is right now. I'm now inspired from tweeting this morning as … [Read more...]
Breaking Rules
I have just found out that I broke the number one rule of professional blogging: "Don't name your blog with a personal name unless you're famous"! I really didn't know that when I started blogging, :). Thing is, I never thought to sell crap on this blog. Adsense on this site is recently functional again, this very blog isn't yet three months old, so even if there are some older posts transferred here from the previous free hosted which had other names all together, this is the one who counts, … [Read more...]
