A blog to Remember. Hire Me!

A Genesis site looks near a Blogspot one like this spaceship looks near a lorry

Hire me! I started to tell people what I feel. I was inspired. I felt inspired. Once upon a time was myspace. After that I discovered Blogspot and Wordpress. They are free to use. Wordpress is a thing a lot of people are still confused about. But I like Wordpress as a platform, as everything. And as I already said in a previous post, I speak of Wordpress dot org, the real deal. Maybe you feel inspired and want to take us away with your stories of fantasy or of wealth! I saw a blogspot once, talking about "monetization", actually it was giving lessons about stuff on the internet. You see, I wasn't taking it seriously, eventually I met the name of that author mentioned again in an interview about "young struggling bloggers", and remembered him. What a waste, to spread such good and almost every time good advice, reviews and tips about blogging, on a Blogger platform, on a free host who can take out your blog anytime for different reasons. And for what? For proving to the whole world that you made an economy of one hundred dollars? American Dollars? You are smart! You are wonderful. You can rise in the traffic in no time. And this is happening because the paid hosted sites are considered by Google and Alexa. Of course I've seen Wordpress dot com and blogspots with a high … [Read more...]

7 signs of deep egotism

Egotism - very nice T-shirt from zazzle.com

I said not once, that I don't like "lists" and "bullet posts" at all, but they're recommended by all! It's SEO and "viral blogging" actually. They are all, right in saying that. It's not a matter of keywords as it is a subliminal command of check it! It's easy to read, :). I wish my posts to be easy. They are not. I am sorry for that, without explaining more, which is better. I read a G+ introduction which said: "I write. I talk too much." Seems to be a fine description of myself. I talk too much and some people get hurt sometimes. But where is the list in this post? Let me see, it's about egotism. Egotism in blogging is expressed in not taking people along with you, when you grow your blog. Your blog grows with back linking and with a constant number of dedicated readers, or even with new ones every day, traffic. One sign of egotism is by not allowing comments. This is not good, to publish regularly on a blog and not giving others the meanings of expressing themselves, is egotistical. No disclaims are justified. Another sign is by allowing comments, but not allowing you to leave your link. The famous on-line magazines do this. They're afraid of any kind of challenge. Not all of them, of course, there are some "top hundred" which allow you to contribute "publicly" … [Read more...]

Breaking Rules

from kurafire.net

I have just found out that I broke the number one rule of professional blogging: "Don't name your blog with a personal name unless you're famous"! I really didn't know that when I started blogging, :). Thing is, I never thought to sell crap on this blog. Adsense on this site is recently functional again, this very blog isn't yet three months old, so even if there are some older posts transferred here from the previous free hosted which had other names all together, this is the one who counts, and it counts on my name, or more exactly, on Rodolfo Grimaldi's name. I read a post on some blog, about it's author who said he is famous and lazy because he is famous (which is not true, I don't think there is a lazy blogger who is famous, and especially not the one claiming that), I also read in other blogs that you have to work all day, from dusk till next dusk, which is also a thing I don't believe. What I believe is that you have to work to produce e good read for everyone, and if you can't please quite everyone, just choose your readers and address only them, in that way you can become sort of famous in your own way, :). How to choose your readers, is another story, for another time, it's in fact an advice to define your niche and your audience by that! What is making me … [Read more...]

Video code and youtube

youtube is black

No matter how happy I was for adding Disqus to power my comments, something very useful with all it's items and pingback and tracking, also handy when you comment on a blog who uses it as well, along with this cute socializing thumb symbols on the left of the screen, I have had real problems with youtube embed video code. As I said in a previous post, I had to toggle between "visual" and "HTML" when editing, and guess what happened every time I left "HTML"? The video code evaporated. I realy don't understand how is this happening, because the code seems simple enough, it must be an internal php function inside youtube. I really tried to apply the same procedure with yesterday's video from Cannes site, the one with the press conference, and it wasn't possible, simply because it wasn't expressly allowed by the host, in the already mentioned php function, :) It is not happening with the videos I borrow from other sites, like the one for today, an "extra" for The Landlord, an inside view of what was shown in The comical design.  It's not happening with the videos taken from the Romanian TV Channel Pro TV, the code looks also clean. It seems all the functions are in the code, not only in the site construction. The only pity with this videos from Pro TV, presented in this post, … [Read more...]
