Some RT just hit my face, because it had to do with @Problogger, and it was about the benefits of the new Twitter interface, instead any application. Now, subjective or not, I read the article and I shall tell my opinion. It was good because this is helping me in my writing of the ultimate Twitter Guide which I assure you again, it will contradict the majority of sellers and Grand Marketeers on the market, the internet market, as it is right now. I’m now inspired from tweeting this morning as well and observing a little the currents. I’m not naming them “trends”, because it’s not about “trends”, #theykiss or other highly valuable. There used to be valuable but they’re not anymore. Anyway, let me start with what the mentioned article re-tweeted three hundred and twenty nine times until the moment I’m writing.
First benefit: The ability to send and receive Tweets more quickly while Apps retrieved the messages or statuses or whatever you like to name them at intervals of time, so the Father or Mother Twitter users have instant access to tweets. No need to have instant access, you’re considered to be human, no machine, it’s about how you set your app, anyway and believe me. With several thousand accounts I follow, it is impossible to benefit from all. An app will send your tweet when Twitter shows the famous Whale, for you it’s happening almost instantly. On the Father or Mother Twitter, you have to wait the de-congestion first. It’s hell, it’s curing you of Twitter.

Second benefit: API have limits to tweeting, Twitter Mother doesn’t have. That’s fine. I met twitter addicts who tweets incessantly (usually nonsense) , and when they tired from typing directly, Twitter is breathing finally. That’s not an advantage.
Third benefit: The RT button. This isn’t good, this is the greater disadvantage of all, with some I’ll tell you after the dissecting. If you use the Twitter button to RT, the tweet will appear as the tweet of the one who made it initially, and on the Twitter interface if you read under what it stated, you see who is the author of the RT. If you RT classically, by “RT @name-of-the-author blah blah blah”, your name and the RT will appear on the mention’s stream of the most important applications instantly, you see it, you answer it. On the normal Twitter you have to go back and forth to RT’s section, to mention section, to check, to keep you busy or you seem inattentive enough, and so on. So, the Twitter new method of RT is bad.
Fourth benefit: The ability to see special hashtag functionality like the one during the #WorldCup to see a football if you use this hashtag, visible only on normal Twitter. It’s not vital to see the football. It’s vital to see someone’s last tweet better than his bio, when it exists. Which isn’t possible unless you go to the page, and see that is a fake, a bot or a machine, and you’re loosing your time, actually.
Fifth benefit: Viewing the customizing backgrounds of the people you follow or follow you. It was much of an advantage with the old Twitter interface, with the new one, with a screen like mine 4:3, you don’t see much of it, only to select the background image, which I always do, because I have to enter Twitter to log in to one or another of my accounts, humanly maintained, not automated, not programmed.
Sixth benefit: and the last from the article, was the viewing of the information more easily, which I don’t deny, if to view a pic without leaving Twitter is considered faster, it’s ok. This is the only advantage of the new interface.

With an application like HootSuite for example, you can see instantly in different streams your own tweets, the main stream of twitter, mentions (where the RT’s appear as well), the DM, the lists you put, and if you have more than one accounts, you may tweet with all of them differently without log in or out alternatively in the main twitter.
The article appeared in Twitip, was compelled by Shannon Albertor @shannonalbert actually and it was of real help for people. I’m sorry to have said that. Nothing personal with the author, I’ve actually started following her account, I’m sure she has also more interesting things to say. After all this is an opinion, a personal one, and what I said, is not an attack to her or anyone. I think the former twitter was more helpful, so instead of it I use Tweepi to manage more efficiently my follows and unfollows, and I proudly recommend HootSuite instead any other application, even TwittDeck.
