The biggest success of 2004-2005 in TV shows, Desperate Housewives, also one of my favorite soaps, will have it’s finale on May 13’th, after eight seasons, three Golden Globes, another 46 wins and 122 nominations. Contrary to other series, Prison Break for sample, it has only a 7.4 imdb rating. Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Nicollette Sheridan and Brenda Strong, were the friends in one suburban neighborhood. It was a Comedy/Drama/Romance with great wittiness.

Another network TV institution, as Business Insider named both this shows, is Fox’s medical drama, which closes it’s doors on May 21’st, is House M.D.. Eight seasons and two Golden Globes with another 38 wins and 99 nominations, 8.7 imdb rate, this show is based mostly on Hugh Laurie, an “antisocial maverick doctor” who does whatever it takes to solve puzzling cases that come his way using his team of doctors and his wits. The puzzling case scenario is always a win-win formula in movies or TV series.

Roots was the most-watched miniseries of all time and earned rave reviews for its portrayal of racial tension and divides throughout African American history. There were other times, I’m not sure if today something like that will have the same success. It was a lot of promotion and advertising at work, but I’ve enjoyed the show. I’ve liked Desperate Housewives better. See you here, dear friends :).
