This is not a marketing guide. It’s not even a guide. It’s something I have noticed on the run. For me, Google Plus appeared in a moment I decided I don’t need a “social site” any more. I had Twitter, I have experienced the sad adventure of myspace (that one was my all times favorite), I made even an account to the Social Network but my disappointment passed the thrill, beside that, I liked a little bit more discretion on the internet. Now this isn’t a pledge against Facebook, who ever dug my blog even by mistake, may have noticed that I’m not a fan, on the contrary! Twitter worked well, they say one time that “if Facebook is still the best way to keep in touch with people you don’t want to keep in touch with, Twitter is the place with people you wish to have met in real life”. I don’t know why, Twitter is day by day more contaminated with automatic accounts, the response is starting to fade. It’s not boring at all, it’s more and more elitist. Facebook is an instrument to capture data and to keep one heavy controlled. I don’t want this for Google Plus.

It is indeed, a “social site”. The difference is that one feel the total control of one’s own data. This is far of being true. Access with your mobile, and they’ll start to locate you better than Facebook handlers dared to think. You are asked to accept the tracking by your own volition, otherwise you don’t access the site. Very interesting! Of course, this is motivated by “offering you better data, suitable to your timeline and location”. For God sake, I don’t want data suitable with my location, I want to see exactly what I want to see, not what has been “suggested” by a motor! But let’s go back to the computer screen. Google Plus is cleaner, the “Circles” System is funny, if you’re careful from the start and select your virtual friends accordingly, you can track them better if put in the appropriate circle. The common bond is not compulsory, it’s more Twitter like. One doesn’t need to “circle back” if one doesn’t like someone. Of course it’s fine for people living over the rainbow, for normal folks is not that good. If you are not in other people’s circles, practically you don’t exist on Google Plus. You are just another package of data for Google Analysts, they’ll use to track your visits and follow you with “specific” adsense adverts wherever you go on the net.

Conservatory in design, not quite a bad thing, only after the total launch of Google Plus, Google adapted its layout on all Google sites. A lot of people didn’t appreciated the change extended to Google Reader, but actually it’s not a big deal. The system is the same, only more uniform. Peoples are afraid that uniformity is a smoother way to dictatorship, I suppose, especially the inhabitants of the former Communist countries. Unrealistic thought, dictatorship means a completely different thing. And going in the direction of a single power coordinating everything without alternative, are not the former Communists, but the very claimers of Capitalism in the West. They want to globally “unify” everything!
