This is confusing. Remember maybe my statement almost two years ago, “It is not enough”, an homage as I saw it, to Julian Assange, Wikileaks founder. He was freed on bail, after nine days of detention for questioning over alleged sex offenses. It was 2010.

I was duped as I wasn’t by the “Arab Spring” or other mass arranged events. I was duped because I respected John Pilger who continue to sustain that Assange is a kind of angel of freedom. A controlled freedom, unfortunately. Ken Loach as well. I’m very disappointed. I started to question the thing, and as almost never happened, I was going with the wave. I read “cables”. That Bradley Manning the United States Army soldier who was arrested in May 2010 in Iraq on suspicion of having passed classified material to the website WikiLeaks and Sarah Palin declarations acted as support for his “whistle-blowing”. The continuously movements and mirroring of the site, and why not, some interesting stuff, never presented before. Interesting, but not essential.

Celebrities who had offered to put up bail money for Julian Assange were turned down in favor of “more distinguished” financial supporters. Bianca Jagger, Jemima Khan and Michael Moore were among those who offered help, but the judge said he felt Mr. Assange would be less likely to breach his bail terms if it meant he was letting down close friends. The guarantors approved were Phillip Knightley (an Australian journalist), Felix Dennis, Sir John Sulston (the Nobel laureate), Lord Evans, and Professor Patricia David.
I let down the subject. Since it`s foundation, in 2006, Wikileaks was conceived as a screen. Assange was awarded The Economist’s New Media Award (2008), Index on Censorship Awards (2008), Amnesty International’s UK Media Award (2009), Sam Adams Award, by the Sam Adams Associates for Integrity in Intelligence (2010), Readers’ Choice for TIME’s Person of the Year (2010), Walkley Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Journalism (2011), books, biographies, movies and talk. The Establishment wants to eliminate the alternative media, so they support Wikileaks, “a solution for citizens to expose the injustices, political persecutions and the illegal activities of governments”. They couldn’t have the necessary attention to really create an alternative, so they “arrest” Assange on disputable charges, and create a lot of waves: Anonymous, PayPal, Palin, Bradley Manning and so on. But when I saw Michael Moor’s name and Jemima Khan’s, I started to doubt. And now, Assange wants asylum in Ecuador. Nice. I’m really sorry, even if I genuinely believed “it is not enough”. Real news are missing on the market. A ton of gratitude for the finder, not the “producer”.

I’m not sure you’re right, the article wasn’t about praising Assange, but you have your dofollow link, anyway.
