Instead of a Lightbox, I decided to classically charge my site with yet another pictorial, this time with former president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, and a part of his friends. I’m sure he was good. You can’t please everybody even if this must be the purpose of politics. But you see, it’s twisted, it’s actually “divide and conquer” in politics. It will be only ideal for any elected president to become the respected president of the whole country he lead, or not quite, depending on that country’s constitution.
As from strong oil reserves country leader to strong oil reserves country leader: “We are immortals as long as people beg us for oil”. I met several times the expression “Hugo Chavez, Venezuelan strongman” as the press agencies copied each other en masse.
Here with another immortal on his last minutes. Could be more minutes if he would trade. Now, after Turkish PM blurrily said that Zionism is a crime against humanity, maybe he’ll find support on a friend whom he spent holidays with. I haven’t seen Obama yet asking Erdoğan for advice this year. Instead he sent Kerry to admonish him for talking uncontrollably about America’s handlers.
Here Chavez is with the guy from the country without homosexuals.
Chavez seemed to have been a Che Guevara fan, or devotee, whatever. “When in Rome…”
I made a confusion and said that Bush called Chavez “The Devil”? Maybe they called both the same somehow. Anyway, it was famous his phrase at the UN in 2006, a day after George W. Bush addressed them too: “Yesterday, the devil came here. Right here, right here. And it smells of sulfur still today.” Colorful, what can I say. He was also sure that if Obama were Venezuelan, he would have voted with him.
The pleasant moment when they smiled effusive to each other at the inauguration of the Brazilian President, Dilma Rouseff, in 2011.
The list of the Democrats doesn’t end with Carter, the American President with Iran crisis and the worst energy crisis in their modern history.
He had also Hollywood friends. The great star Sean Penn, said very originally when he found out Chavez died: “Today the people of the United States lost a friend it never knew it had.”
I’m afraid Chavez didn’t know either.
In a 2011 speech, Chavez noted that in addition to him, the presidents of Argentina and Paraguay had recently been diagnosed with cancer, and accused the U.S. of a plot to kill Latin American leaders. “It’s very difficult to explain, even with the law of probabilities, what has been happening to some of us in Latin America,” Chavez said. “Would it be so strange that they’ve invented technology to spread cancer and we won’t know about it for 50 years?” – from ABC News
Oliver Stone couldn’t be absent from Chavez’s list. They both will live forever in history.
Chavez wanted for Glover to star or to direct or simply, to make a film about a slaves upraising in Haiti. It was about Toussaint Louverture, a freed slave of African descent, who led thousands of slaves in successful campaigns against British, Spanish and French troops before being betrayed, captured and exiled. I can’t figure what these two were doing in front of that Temple?
They speculated of course that this was another fling of the “strongman”. I don’t know, that reminded me of the modern dictator, and the beauty of the moment, Megan Fox.
