“It’s been an absolute privilege, it’s been the honor of my profession.”
These are Jon Stewart’s words on his quitting The Daily Show, after sixteen years of hosting it. These are not “news” anymore, but I have been terribly busy to say something, even in Social Media. Almost unbelievable 🙂

Below is an example of Stewart’s “brilliant” moments: “Glenn Beck’s Appendix”.
When Beck needed his appendix removed and had to miss his daily Fox News show, Stewart seized on the opportunity to illustrate the lack of logic and paranoia of Beck’s reasoning by brilliantly mimicking Beck’s free-associative style.
I took the sample from The Daily Beast (of whom feeds I follow).
Yes, Jon Stewart is famous not for his mediocre acting, but for his mocking news in his Daily Show. He is mocking even if the “news” are questioning the state of existence or maybe exactly for that. The thing is that I have one more pinch of respect for Glenn Beck than for Stewart. I have a feeling that his “humorous” comments are very precisely directed to people derailed from the official railway designed by the establishment (and that is a reason he is repugnant). Stewart has some humor but Mr. Beck is usually saying something, at least now, otherwise he was like Stewart himself, just an illusionist of the mainstream news.
I’ve seen Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz (his whole name) hosting the Oscars both in 2006 and 2008. If the first time his performance was humorless but somehow original, the second time, it was a disaster, one of the worst ever in the ceremony’s history. Maybe it wasn’t his fault, but that doesn’t matter. What it matters is that his quitting is at the moment just a “news” item, no way to become an accomplished fact before the end of the year… and it’s a long time until then. When this happens, we’ll have one more misdirectionist less. Another one will take his place and the alienating show will go on.
