I have recently noticed (yesterday, actually) a “news” article on my Google News, regarding the AVG antivirus software firm which attracted the users attention on accessing Facebook through the mobile browser. Of course, the article was second hand already, the info being taken from Business Insider. Unfortunately, being subscribed to Business Insider, I see much too much info hourly, to be able to notice this one quite on the spot.

Anyway, it concerns the people addicted to Facebook, addiction which I truly understand. The number ONE Social Media site is famous from being accessed especially through the mobile phone, more than that, the smartphones are advertised as “having Facebook” and whatsnot on default. Apps, of course, tens if not hundreds of apps already installed, one doesn’t need more than a few clicks to have them activated and functional.
Overall (and now I quote from that article), “AVG found that Facebook’s mobile app had the biggest overall impact on your phone’s performance, the third-highest battery drain, the third-highest for data traffic and the third-highest overall storage consumption”.
Other apps that performed poorly in AVG’s latest results were “The Daily Mail Online” (I absolutely agree with this, the tabloid isn’t keeping just your computer screen filled with trash data, but they succeeded in doing the same with your smartphone), which had the highest data consumption and the second-highest storage consumption; and Spotify, which had the second-highest overall performance impact, the fifth-highest battery drain, and the fourth-highest battery drain and storage consumption. I’m not fond for Spotify either, so I don’t want to say more.
It is up to you to swap your social media connections from Facebook to Google Plus, which, unbelievable, is very speedy on my phone (with a very few conveniences, of course) and, on the contrary, is freezing my laptop’s browser constantly.
That’s it for now dear friends. Tell me if you have something to add to this brilliant information.
