Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits a box-office record of $57 million after just one day in USA, yesterday night. Internationally, it earned over $72 million in two days, thus making a total of around $130 millions in two days, globally.
The record was detained by the last Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2 which earned $43.5 million in the first day in USA. This happened in July 2011.

Other two box-office successes were The Dark Night Rises (with $30.6 millions in 2012) and the last Twilight sequel of the franchise, Twilight Saga: Breaking Down Part 2 (with $30.4 million in 2012 as well).
For the record, the movie is drawing a heavily male audience (seventy-one percent), according to PostTrak (Rentrak’s exit poll service). Fifty-three percent of Thursday night’s audience was over the age of 25, with the vast majority, sixty-four percent, between the ages of 18 and 34.
This sequel’s story, set thirty years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi, centers on a scavenger and a stormtrooper ending up on a wild adventure. It stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson and three original stars like Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill.

I can’t wait to watch it on IMAX as soon as possible 🙂 I am a great fan of the episodes with Harrison Ford, and lost my enthusiasm when they seemed to make them just to freak me out. Casting Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman in 2002 and 2005, was a great mistake. Anyway, who loves Star Wars loves them even when they are terrible. The same happens with Indiana Jones.
