Being hosted for the 4th time by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the Golden Globes 2021 Awards will take place both directly and remotely. Fey will be present in New York, and Poehler in Los Angeles. Presenters will introduce the awards from both locations, in person, and the winners will appear virtually. Presenters include Joaquin Phoenix, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Kristen Wiig. Interesting. The winners will make virtual speeches from wherever they are at the time of the ceremony. It will be the 78th edition, transmitted live on Sunday, February 28th, 2021.

As you can notice, the last Christopher Nolan and George Clooney‘s fantasy are on this list only because they were nominated for Best original score. Also, here are another three movies I can’t watch very soon: The Father, French Exit, and Two of Us. I have watched almost all the others, with a few exceptions, but I’ll recover in due time. Very low standards this year, and I’m afraid the Oscars will be no better. Deep corny dramas, BLM, racially aware stuff, anti-Trump obnoxiousness, leftist nonsense, all to the obvious loss of quality. In the Golden Globes 2021 nominees’ list, the only movie I enjoyed is Palm Springs. If Rashida Jones weren’t so boring, I would maybe consider On the Rocks slightly entertaining. They missed Meryl Streep this year, but not the lamentable time-wasting feature she appeared in for more than five minutes. It is called The Prom and it is nominated for best motion picture, comedy or musical. It covers both. I also liked a lot the Danish Another Round, a masterpiece compared to The Trial of the Chicago 7, but that’s only me thinking, not a pretentious politically correct film critic who believes the Democrats are on the left side of the political specter.
