Goodbye, Google Plus! I say it now, with two months in advance, just in case. We can't be sure of these two months either, who knows what will happen tomorrow and the mastodon decides to haste the shutdown. I am taking out now, all my links sending to my Google Plus profile and "business pages". I'm glad I have never filled all my data online, as they desired. They already have enough about everybody, so the online socialization loses its sense. Besides, on Google Plus there wasn't advertising, … [Read more...]

Twitter Took Himself Seriously as a Micro-blogging Platform
Sometime in November 2017, Twitter doubled the number of characters allowed to appear in a "post". Finaly About Instagram, My Newest Fancy Venue
I wrote about Instagram in a previous Social Media post and not in the most favorable terms. It is now the moment to share with you some of my experience there. A few months ago I had the urge to make a guide about how to succeed on Instagram, based on my own experience and on what I read from marketing specialists. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to read some advice sold pretty expensively online, here and there, with prices starting from €200 up. If I'll find the time, I shall finish the … [Read more...]
What the Heck Happened With Facebook Authorship?
Not long ago, just two years ago, actually, I've heard for the first time of Facebook Authorship. Being familiar with what was once Google Authorship, I haven't been very impressed, because I didn't have a Facebook account at the time, and I thought I could manage without one, or without any other Facebook page, as a matter of fact. I was wrong, but that happened only because I believed in Google Plus more than it deserved. A Reminder on Authorship Authorship is the result of a meta tag … [Read more...]
Hootsuite, Et Tu Brute!
HootSuite, my favorite Social Media dashboard by far, is actually a greedy shark like all the others. Starting to become less and less cool not very long ago, now blew it up altogether. I'm going to explain myself very shortly. They have been launched in Canada, and when he was commissioned by Buffer, Guy Kawasaki had very few words to say about their main rival: Don't use HootSuite, Buffer is better. Actually he said something like this in "What the Plus" a book he wrote in order to promote … [Read more...]
