Jason Bourne 2016 came as an interesting revelation after the previous movies in the franchise. It is better welded in structure with a much simpler plot than any of Robert Ludlum's novels. As I remember, I don't recall Ludlum's plots in the previous releases. They were an amalgam of 100% action and violence without an explanatory motivation.
