I struggled for a long time now, to show my love for Pinterest. In the mean time, this wonderful “Social Media” site, flourished in a rhythm hard to contain. It’s not what it seemed first. Looks like a “girlie” thing. Maybe it is the “girlie” thing that pushed this social site so high up. It took me no long to be enthralled by the perspective.
I’m not going to do info-graphics or to show you tutorials on how to make an account on Pinterest. I have greater expectations on you! If the great majority figured out how to open a Facebook account with or without help from geeks, so they will start on Pinterest too. It’s not hard, since Pinterest is only a Virtual “Pinboard”. Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use “pinboards” to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
I’ve noticed that a lot of my Twitter friends are already on Pinterest, they care to notice me every time a new Twitter friend signs up for Pinterest. I wonder what’s happening with Facebook connections, things there seems to be more complex. I don’t connect through Facebook, I have my reasons. I don’t use Foursquare for the same reasons, but that’s only temporary.
I found the descriptions of “what to do with Pinterest” already too simple minded, because the potential is so fabulous! Take this, is directly from the site: “What Can You Do with Pinterest?
Someone uses Pinterest to save decorating ideas for her new home. She saves patterns, furniture, and accessories that catch her eye. Another one uses Pinterest to plan their wedding. Their relatives can leave comments about the dresses, flowers, and ties they pin up. Other guy uses Pinterest to share his personal style. He pins clothing, shoes and accessories he finds while browsing stores and fashion blogs”.
One of the best definitions for the site, can be found in this one:
Save your Inspirations!
Pinterest can be used to save design inspirations. It can be used to save ideas, or whatever, recipes, or everything you consider useful.
Every picture sends you to a site, to an explanation. Every picture is an explanation of something. Of course, there are exceptions, but Pinterest is evolving. I hope it is for the best. I’m gonna give you more details as things emerges. Good luck and follow me!
