It was a pleasure to see the wet shaving being promoted so nice in the last James Bond movie. I’m going to review Skyfall in the future, now I only notice that it was one of the best made in the series. More human touched at least, without humanity in the script. So James Bond, the character, uses a straight razor, a silvertip brush and all the other classic shaving accessories, the mug was visible, so it is to be presumed that a soap was on the bottom of it as well.

I was curious to find more about that. They say the straight razor sales increased four times in five days after the premiere. This affirmation was made by Nick Gibbens, brand director of The Shaving Shack, who gives his telephone number and e-mail address as well, just to advise on how more complex is the “cut-throat shaving” facing the multi-cartridge used by the great majority these days. I, personally don’t believe it’s fine to use a straight razor if you don’t want to use it with all your heart. It’s not difficult, actually it necessitates only to concentrate to shaving, not in other places. The difficulties arises when trying the stroping and sharpening of your (hopefully) precious straight razor, Dovo or Thiers-Issard. If you don’t know how to prepare the blade like an old fashioned barber, you’ll have the reverse of pleasure, a whole hell. If the blade is not properly sharpened, stropped and honed, you will cut yourself in pieces.
Other wonderful things with Skyfall were the city of Istanbul, Rachel Weisz’s visit on the set and the pictures of the two, visiting around. Midnight Express impression about Turks and Turkey is now long gone, proved to be just an Armenian bad dream. Not that in the real life, in a Turkish prison the felons are drinking tea all day and sing, as presented in Turkish movies of the same era.
Istanbul is one of the most beautiful city in the world, if not the beautifulest!
My feelings are telling that Thiers-Issard is the company promoting there it’s products. A covert pitch for expensive products, but of an incomparable better quality than the use and throw cartridges of today, which in the long run will make a straight razor to cost like a double edge Gilette blade for a vintage safety razor, like mine.
A nice video with the best 50 James Bond moments, in just oo7 minutes. Impressive. Have your say!

I do accept as true with all the concepts you have introduced
on your post. They are very convincing and will certainly work.
Still, the posts are too brief for beginners.
May you please prolong them a little from subsequent time?
Thanks for the post.
