It happens without my will! This category, created for news and stuff like that, makes the obituaries more than anything else. I’ll try to change that in the future.
I know Paul Walker before the movie that made him famous, The Fast and the Furious. I noticed him in The Skulls, in 2000 and only after that, in the movie co stared with Vin Diesel. He was good, but not extraordinary. Very good for the roles he acted. He was good looking as well.
On November 30, 2013, Walker and a 38 years old friend, Roger Rodas, left an event for one of Walker’s charities, for victims of the Typhoon which devastated portions of Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines, in early November, this year. Rodas lost control of his red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT and crashed into a light pole and tree in They both died on spot. The speed was the main cause. I’m not presenting here any picture from the accident, better to remember him as he was alive.

Here you see him in the above mentioned movie, The Skulls, where he impersonated a rich daddy’s boy in Yale University. Sporty, simple, macho… I remember him in Noel, the movie written by David Hubbard and directed by Chazz Palminteri, where he partnered Penélope Cruz as her jealous hyped police officer husband. Nothing profound here, either.
I also liked a lot The Fast and the Furious, but not him. He was a disguised police or agent, again, and his role was lacking hard the credibility. I liked more the cars than the people. I noticed Michelle Rodriguez, but she’s too aggressive, she forced herself into the role. The only one ok there was Vin Diesel. No pretensions of “acting”, just pure action. The screenplay sucked too.
Not a credible movie either, but he was not made for credible roles. The images are nice in this movie, woke up in me the wish to dive, almost immediately, after I watched it. Absolutely positively impressed by Alba, who was good especially because she didn’t talk too much. If they used used doubles and stunt divers, they were good looking too, for this movie made in Bahamas.
We will remember Paul Walker as a tall, blond, blue eyed actor, specialized in action movies (sort of).
Here you have a tribute for him, extracted from The Fast and the Furious movies which are seven at the moment of writing this article. [updated July, 2016]
