The Golden Globes 2018 Awards – Winners and Nominees

January 8, 2018 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 4 Comments

I used to think that the Golden Globes are less rated than the Oscars. I was wrong. I said somewhere, maybe on my Romanian blog, many years ago, that these awards are voted by intellectuals not by the trade members. The journalists who gave their vote for the Golden Globes 2018 Awards know where China, India or Bangladesh are situated on the map. I’m not so sure that 50% of the Academy members are that instructed. “Who cares?” can be their reaction, and indeed, it doesn’t matter. I have great reserves for the Oscars because of their bias and their trendy politically correctness. I’m sick of their dirty backstage games, or the great actors’ omniscience displayed from their crystal palaces. Anyway, the awards season debuted with most of the female stars wearing black, you know why. Last year was about Hollywood’s rage against Trump, today, it’s about sexual abuse revealed after many years, because now the moment came.

Oprah gave a wonderful speech, and unless Meryl Streep, she didn’t act. She had an abused mother, and she is giving a lot to charity, even if she supports the rigged system who feed her, which is normal. Where would she made her billions without this system?

All in all, the Golden Globes 2018 Awards were OK, the ceremony wasn’t.
