The Pinterest Experience

Daniel Mihai Popescu on Pinterest

"Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies, and more. Users can browse other pinboards for inspiration, 're-pin' images to their own collections or 'like' photos. Pinterest's mission is to "connect everyone in the world through the 'things' they find interesting" via a global platform of inspiration and idea sharing. Founded by Ben Silbermann, Paul Sciarra, and Evan Sharp, the site … [Read more...]

My Pinterest

Lenticular Clouds, Mount Fuji, Japan

I struggled for a long time now, to show my love for Pinterest. In the mean time, this wonderful "Social Media" site, flourished in a rhythm hard to contain. It's not what it seemed first. Looks like a "girlie" thing. Maybe it is the "girlie" thing that pushed this social site so high up. It took me no long to be enthralled by the perspective. I'm not going to do info-graphics or to show you tutorials on how to make an account on Pinterest. I have greater expectations on you! If the great … [Read more...]

A Few Updates, and Goodreads

The Bird of Destiny

Long time now, I wanted to try Triberr, a strong community of tweeps who twit more or less automatically when some member posted anything. RT's most, or announcements, but mostly links, which the mighty Twitter family barely follows anymore. What happens when someone posted a ton of links on your stream and you don't seem to be interested? It stinks of spam, that's happens. Tools like TwitCleaner and such, consider Triberr "a spaming application". The same is TwitterFeed and Facebook. I speak of … [Read more...]

Google Plus

July 15, 2012 By Daniel Mihai Popescu Leave a Comment

This is not a marketing guide. It's not even a guide. It's something I have noticed on the run. For me, Google Plus appeared in a moment I decided I don't need a "social site" any more. I had Twitter, I have experienced the sad adventure of myspace (that one was my all times favorite), I made even an account to the Social Network but my disappointment passed the thrill, beside that, I liked a little bit more discretion on the internet. Now this isn't a pledge against Facebook, who ever dug my … [Read more...]

Social Media Chronicles

January 27, 2012 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 2 Comments

I wish this to be the name of this category, actually, but this is not quite the main interest of the blog, which started with movies, life and facts. My total awe for Twitter made me speak about Social Media matters. I can't compete with Mashable, or with "specialists". They made a lot of friends already, and it's hard to show when some of the so called "specialists" tell nonsense. But, from time to time, I feel the urge to say a word, be it good, or be it critical. I want to be positive, I … [Read more...]

New Start on reddit

December 25, 2011 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 2 Comments

It was a time, one and a half years ago, when I grossly underestimated reddit, the social sharing site defined as "a source of what's new and popular on the web". I really haven't got it, but I've been hasty. I was submitting only my links, and what I've submitted from other sites I liked, wasn't much appreciated, mostly because I'm too direct in disapproving when I don't like something. It is not a lack of diplomacy, It's just that I'm bored with retarded or superficial minds. When I say … [Read more...]
