The glory you may experience on Google Plus if you don’t have much to say is ephemeral. I consider Google Plus one of the best auxiliary tools for self expression near your website. Your website is the best and Google Plus is the second best. You write a post and you spread it to your friends on Twitter and Google Plus. What if you don’t have friends on Twitter and on Google Plus? Oh, almost forgot, you surely have friends on Facebook, only, do you really like them? Can they understand you on … [Read more...]
The Art of Circle Sharing
I hope you know what I want to describe on this post, which is another homage to Google Plus and it's wonderful users. I think that after some years of using social sites, starting with myspace, for sample, I made an idea of how to mingle, contribute or even become popular on them, without artificiality. Myspace was the first social media site I took seriously, otherwise, I was on Yahoo 360, or ICQ before that, like everybody else :). My favorite was Twitter, succeeded by Pinterest, very close … [Read more...]
Pinterest Profile
They say Pinterest is drawing more traffic to a site than Facebook! Since I don't have a Facebook account, I don't know what to say. Not important at this stage, because Pinterest is not about self promotion, in my opinion. It's not like reddit, of course, where if some retard wants to troll you, you don't stand a chance, and again, if you're already famous somehow, you may post everything and people visit your submitted link even out of curiosity. I recently read an article written in August … [Read more...]
Facespace?
A post on The Oatmeal remembered me of what was upon a time... How Tom Anderson and DeWolfe sold and how Facebook beat myspace, and of course, the ultimate drop, the connection to myspace through facebook. Brrr... [source: "The Oatmeal", but you have to click the pic to see it's real value] I used to have one of my favorite Social Media accounts on myspace... Myspace was a real experience. It forced me to learn HTML, it was funny and made me a lot of valuable friends I still treasure. … [Read more...]
10 Essential Things for Blogging
This is not the first time when I read with great pleasure, Neil Patel's advice. I have to say that lately, we are more and more on the same wavelength. I found myself a lot of tricks, and I applied also what I've seen here and there. I met unfortunately a lot of cheap advice, or even devious. Cheap advice is the bunch of e-mails you're going to fill your inbox with, if you subscribe to "Pamela and Wendy's Tips" to set up a Wordpress Blog, a pitch to sell you a very expensive "Site Setup Kit". … [Read more...]
Google Plus
This is not a marketing guide. It's not even a guide. It's something I have noticed on the run. For me, Google Plus appeared in a moment I decided I don't need a "social site" any more. I had Twitter, I have experienced the sad adventure of myspace (that one was my all times favorite), I made even an account to the Social Network but my disappointment passed the thrill, beside that, I liked a little bit more discretion on the internet. Now this isn't a pledge against Facebook, who ever dug my … [Read more...]
