Happy Hunger Games!

April 9, 2012 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 3 Comments

I'm going to talk of a movie based on a horrifyingly violent book marketed to small children. I know that Hollywood's greed is as great as their penchant for presenting graphic violence, horror, and gore to the smallest and most vulnerable people who have no filters to protect themselves. It is a horror, it is morally insane. I have a feeling that this time is serious. They crossed all their limits. The movie is masterly crafted to involve even you, the modern spectator in a futuristic worse … [Read more...]

Social Media Chronicles

January 27, 2012 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 2 Comments

I wish this to be the name of this category, actually, but this is not quite the main interest of the blog, which started with movies, life and facts. My total awe for Twitter made me speak about Social Media matters. I can't compete with Mashable, or with "specialists". They made a lot of friends already, and it's hard to show when some of the so called "specialists" tell nonsense. But, from time to time, I feel the urge to say a word, be it good, or be it critical. I want to be positive, I … [Read more...]

My Twitter Rules – Part Two

July 11, 2011 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 4 Comments

In a previous post, I have inserted a funny video with Obama. I made it because there is a Twitter account in President Obama's name, ran by his Social Media staff, and that we are in free countries. I liked the video, and I had to put it there. It is called sometimes, political satire, :) I have ended the previous post with Facebook, actually that was what drained my mood. I don't hate Facebook, the "war" between them with Google is really annoying. The obligatorily "connect through your … [Read more...]

My Twitter Rules

Twitter Rules-VW-flowerpower

Usually I follow back, :) I don't follow you back, if you don't tweet! I don't follow you if you're annoying. By annoying, I mean you tweet on automatic more than twenty things per minute, usually the machines made this. I remember once a guy. I was on the classic page, where I enter just for changing the log in, every two days or so, but I don't stay there. Here is why, :) The stream was full of his tweets. Junk, actually. I've replied to one, saying to take it easy, I'm going to unfollow … [Read more...]

Let’s “Regulate”

May 27, 2011 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 2 Comments

France likes to present itself as "one of America’s principal rivals around the world", so with the seizure of "the most electable French person" and locking him up, according to an American lynch mentality not enough unapproved (like arresting the dictator of Panama and throwing him in a jail in Florida, or awarding Saddam Hussein's revolver to George W. Bush, or the bombing of places where Qaddafi is thought to hide and killing his son and grandchildren), France have fallen within the pattern … [Read more...]

Yes Baby, on Twitter!

Abandoned Houses

I just couldn't resist to show you President's Obama interview on "60 Minutes", which is hilarious. Actually, this post is about Twitter. No, no, no, I have to re-formulate. This post is about Twitter, again. You see, I'm trying to get some networking done here, without the "Social Network", and it's growing and growing baby. Facebook is good for lazy people, man. You push some buttons and everything is automatic, who's your friend, who wanna be your friend, who you shoudda be friend with, it's … [Read more...]
