I was a little bit aggressive in my previous post, especially after I found out I was right all the way in my earlier presumptions. Starting my annoyance, was a link (in fact two) I had on a prestigious blog. The link has been removed, in the hope I wouldn't notice. I took it personal. After that I checked a little bit more, and I found a few more who tagged or re-tagged (whatever) their comment links with "nofollow". Utterly disappointed and angrier by the moment, I wrote. I was so angry that I … [Read more...]
Blogging Updates
Still don't have the habit to create "bullet posts", but I'll change a little my former opinions. I have already mentioned that nothing is UN-changeable, if the reason is justified. I have read a lot, lately, and I think it's time to take some new steps. I have installed a few new plugins, after a period of testing somehow others, and I have re-thought the structure of this blog. Contacted a few acquaintances and learned a lot about blog and blog-post promoting. Changed a little … [Read more...]
The Other Social Media
You've seen, my good friends, the Cute Profiles plugin on my left side of the site, with a sort of non colored texture, coloring itself when you hover. Since I "don't Facebook", that icon is missing. I can say, "totally missing", but you may find it if you feel the urge to share something from my precious thoughts on Facebook, on your own profile, :) There is a button at the end of each post, actually there are more buttons there, from Shareaholic, another nice "sharing" plugin, which is … [Read more...]
My Twitter Rules
Usually I follow back, :) I don't follow you back, if you don't tweet! I don't follow you if you're annoying. By annoying, I mean you tweet on automatic more than twenty things per minute, usually the machines made this. I remember once a guy. I was on the classic page, where I enter just for changing the log in, every two days or so, but I don't stay there. Here is why, :) The stream was full of his tweets. Junk, actually. I've replied to one, saying to take it easy, I'm going to unfollow … [Read more...]
The joy of discovery
I always liked to travel. I was lucky, I had traveler parents when I was a child. They gathered together with other family friends and spent long holidays, driving in different places through the country. Mine is very beautiful, and I was glad every time we left it, but really happy when we came back. The farthest we went those times, was Germany, the "democratic" one of the two. There were times when travel over national borders was restricted, controlled and directed mostly to the "friends" … [Read more...]
What Makes the Difference
Every time I'm writing about Twitter and attitudes on Twitter, I'm a little upset, or compelled to write especially because something upset me. Things like: bloggers who beg to be followed on Twitter claiming they're good at advising people, less than ordinary people on twitter who begun by making friends with everybody and after awhile, seeing that they reached a certain number of followers, proceed to massive unfollow almost everybody with a few exceptions of some celebs who never ever heard … [Read more...]
