Ravi Shankar Passed Away
Ravi Shankar died a few days ago. A great loss. They say he was a Pandit. Maybe it is too much, a pandit is some polymath equivalent in Hindu tradition. A pandit is "a scholar and a teacher, particularly one skilled in the Sanskrit language, who has mastered the four Vedic scriptures, Hindu rituals, Hindu law, religion, music, and philosophy under a Guru in a vedic school" (Wikipedia). TV icon Larry Hagman, best known for playing the iconic J.R. Ewing on both the original Dallas on CBS and the current incarnation on TNT, passed away on Friday, November 23'rd at Medical City Dallas hospital from cancer complications. He was 81.
