The improved design of the hottest "new" Social Media appendix at the moment, Google Plus, took me by a pleasant surprise. After a few seconds of contrariety, taking the tour and exploring it in depth for a good few minutes, I felt good. It's sleek it is colored, it's attractive, it offer a better perspective, I don't have too many words to praise it. With it's multi-column view and the possibility to renew the stream flow yourself, it definitively improved. I don't believe anyone who follows … [Read more...]
Google Changes
As if the coders are switching jobs between the two Social Media monsters, Google+ changed the "look" of your header profile, "cover photo" or whatever they call it. It is huge and covers a great part of your screen, especially if you use some more toolbars than usual. I've made already the mistake to accept the switching to the "new profile", somehow in a hurry, not taking in consideration that it was irreversible. I thought that usually the changes are for your own good, Google being so much … [Read more...]
Facespace?
A post on The Oatmeal remembered me of what was upon a time... How Tom Anderson and DeWolfe sold and how Facebook beat myspace, and of course, the ultimate drop, the connection to myspace through facebook. Brrr... [source: "The Oatmeal", but you have to click the pic to see it's real value] I used to have one of my favorite Social Media accounts on myspace... Myspace was a real experience. It forced me to learn HTML, it was funny and made me a lot of valuable friends I still treasure. … [Read more...]
10 Essential Things for Blogging
This is not the first time when I read with great pleasure, Neil Patel's advice. I have to say that lately, we are more and more on the same wavelength. I found myself a lot of tricks, and I applied also what I've seen here and there. I met unfortunately a lot of cheap advice, or even devious. Cheap advice is the bunch of e-mails you're going to fill your inbox with, if you subscribe to "Pamela and Wendy's Tips" to set up a Wordpress Blog, a pitch to sell you a very expensive "Site Setup Kit". … [Read more...]
Google Plus
This is not a marketing guide. It's not even a guide. It's something I have noticed on the run. For me, Google Plus appeared in a moment I decided I don't need a "social site" any more. I had Twitter, I have experienced the sad adventure of myspace (that one was my all times favorite), I made even an account to the Social Network but my disappointment passed the thrill, beside that, I liked a little bit more discretion on the internet. Now this isn't a pledge against Facebook, who ever dug my … [Read more...]
Social Media Chronicles
I wish this to be the name of this category, actually, but this is not quite the main interest of the blog, which started with movies, life and facts. My total awe for Twitter made me speak about Social Media matters. I can't compete with Mashable, or with "specialists". They made a lot of friends already, and it's hard to show when some of the so called "specialists" tell nonsense. But, from time to time, I feel the urge to say a word, be it good, or be it critical. I want to be positive, I … [Read more...]
