Social Media Strategist

Social Media Strategy

This is a new term as far as I am concerned. It implies marketing knowledge and a proved promotion method, advertising skills and a certain ability on Social Media. I have discovered that it is a trending “quality”, the Social Media “specialists” exercise from home. I wonder how they evolved from specialists to strategists? As far as you sell something valuable regarding methods of handling social media platforms, you can be considered whatever you pretend to be considered. When you show … [Read more...]

Why Are You Creating Circles to Share?

October 22, 2013 By Daniel Mihai Popescu Leave a Comment

Kandinsky's Circles

There is more than one reason to create circles. I wander what is yours? I have planned this article long time ago, but I have waited too much. In the meantime, things changed and even my willingness to explain facts and give tips changed. What changed? A lot of influential circle creators stop this activity. They reached a certain number of followers and they stop creating, adding, sharing circles altogether. This is one aspect; another one is that other influential circle creators and … [Read more...]

Facebook Privacy Changes

http://urbanhonking.com/ideasfordozens/2010/09/16/painting_a_facebook_page/

A good piece of news appeared on my Google News stream, and I considered it an evolution. Every user on Facebook becomes searchable for any other user. The privacy setting called "Who can look up your Timeline by name?" will be getting rid of. This means that if I want to look for a friend I know he exists and has a Facebook account, I can find his profile and contact him. That "privacy" setting was for guys like Zuckerberg, guys who had to be on Facebook and they wanted a little privacy for … [Read more...]

More Thoughts on Google Plus

Like on Facebook

The glory you may experience on Google Plus if you don’t have much to say is ephemeral. I consider Google Plus one of the best auxiliary tools for self expression near your website. Your website is the best and Google Plus is the second best. You write a post and you spread it to your friends on Twitter and Google Plus. What if you don’t have friends on Twitter and on Google Plus? Oh, almost forgot, you surely have friends on Facebook, only, do you really like them? Can they understand you on … [Read more...]

Engagement on Google Plus

Circles on Deviant Art

I am so in love with Google Plus, I can't stop sharing it. This can be a sequel to my previous post, The Art of Circle Sharing, because is related to engagement created when sharing a circle, more than any other engagement. This is something very simple measured. I hope you remember the most efficient way to express your feelings on Google Plus, "Plus, comment, share!"? Logically, there are three categories who express engagement and made the top: The circle with the most re-shares, the circle … [Read more...]

The Art of Circle Sharing

Shared Circle

I hope you know what I want to describe on this post, which is another homage to Google Plus and it's wonderful users. I think that after some years of using social sites, starting with myspace, for sample, I made an idea of how to mingle, contribute or even become popular on them, without artificiality. Myspace was the first social media site I took seriously, otherwise, I was on Yahoo 360, or ICQ before that, like everybody else :). My favorite was Twitter, succeeded by Pinterest, very close … [Read more...]
