Sometime in November 2017, Twitter doubled the number of characters allowed to appear in a "post". I haven't written yet about it because a lot of others did and the same article appeared without shame on a hundred websites. Also the interface slightly changed, the characters number was replaced with a sort of a counting wheel. Is it a good thing? We'll see. Switch to Twitter Cards ASAP – That, only if You Need Conversions!
I'm writing this more as an advice than a tutorial, also explaining the differences between Twitter posts with pictures and posts with the Twitter cards enabled. It is simple and necessary at the same time, especially if you have some nice pictures to illustrate your posts. Pictures invite to clicks, and every click on it sends the reader to your blog post which potentially leads to a conversion, especially if you have something to offer. I'm sure you know, or at least you remember that I greatly recommend HootSuite as one of the essential tools for Social Media in general, and for Twitter especially.
