The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman

July 27, 2015 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 4 Comments

Charlie Countryman - Mads Mikkelsen, Evan Rachel Wood

I have been impressed in a very pleasant way, by this special movie. I may be influenced that it is a Romanian co-production, but I am not. Of course I'm always minimally subjective when I judge a movie, and sometimes it depends on my moods more than the artistry, or if the movie makers respected the manual. I do not have a diploma related with the industry. Actually I consider that there are very few venues where one really needs a stamped paper to be a specialist in a subject or other. Nadia Comăneci, the first "perfect" gymnast

Not once I've seen "respectable" news blogs or media online publications wannabe, just filling the space in order to keep daily posting alive. If you leave the announcement short, without too many insider details, avoiding to be too specific on what you already snatched from another respectable media publication, you avoid also the ridicule. In Budapest

Budapest is a city crossed (and divided in two) by the Danube, and it is the capital of Hungary, a Catholic country former part of the Hapsburg Empire. Hungarians themselves are descendants of Turkic populations from Urals Mountains which invaded the Carpathian Basin around 862 AD, mixed with Khazars. They are not Huns. They may have some Gepidic blood, because Gepids are the ones who defeated Huns and erased them from historical existence after 454 AD. The name comes from Buda and Pest, the … [Read more...]

Eurovision, a Neglected Event

May 19, 2013 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 2 Comments

Margaret Berger from Norway

Why is Eurovision neglected by the spectators everywhere? It's still a mystery. Why Englishmen don't support anymore as much as they should to, their National Football Team? It's the same thing with Eurovision. Nobody cares. And songs like the whispered scream from Azerbaijan came second. Why? Because of Turkey not participating this year, their "brothers" were voted by the Turks all over Europe. They're quite a huge bunch, and as we could see, it's a caring one. They pay fortunes to Mobile … [Read more...]
