Why aren’t we ALL, globally connected through Facebook?

August 21, 2010 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 2 Comments

You know why Facebook is good? Because it has electrolytes.

Yeah. And what is this “electrolytes”? This is what makes Facebook good. All our friends are there, even our non-friends are there. They all utilize Facebook.

Dear friends, figments from Idiocracy may be found all over, in the last 10 years Hollywood movie productions, around us, everywhere you turn your heads.

Sex, teenage sex (or the wishing of it), money and the wishing of it, “take a summer job, WE need your money too, “I like Coca Cola, not Pepsi”, porn porn porn, Big Brother, The Bachelor, Facebook.

Idiocracy is not a reality show, is not the everyday life as it happens, it is a 6.4 imdb rated movie, directed by Mike Judge and played more than good enough by Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Dax Shepard, Terry Crews and others…

A credible comedy, a satire of modern times. “Natural selection is indifferent to intelligence, so that in a society in which intelligence is systematically debased, stupid people easily out-breed the intelligent.”

Mr. Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, respects the fans, respects their privacy. Same as Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt. This one is not overtly offending, just asserts that they, Google, may use the information they possess (“I don’t believe society understands what happens when everything is available, knowable and recorded by everyone all the time”)… He predicts, more or less seriously, that every kid one day will be entitled automatically to change his or her name on reaching adulthood in order to disown youthful hijinks stored on their friends’ social media sites… Why? Are they gonna use that “hijinks”?

This is a serious blackmail, my friends. Ah, you didn’t know maybe that Google stores absolutely everything, all searches, all IP’s, all they have on anyone, forever, not just for a definite period of time.
