Bubblews – A New Social Media Network

September 25, 2014 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 1 Comment

Bubblews was launched in 2012, as a start-up in beta version. At the end of July this year, they re-launched it, this time officially. In a way, it looks like Twitter or Facebook. The difference? It has a new catch, they pay you for your good content. Not much, just a penny per share, comment, or like.

Business Insider reported that Facebook reported at least a billion US dollars revenue per month. Not bad at all, I assume that it comes from self promotion ads too, not only from the big advertising monsters, but nothing is shared with the users, the most important capital for that revenue. So, two guys Jason Zuccari and Arvind Dixit, wanting more to be famous that to be extremely rich, came up with an interface for a new Social Media network, named Bubblews, because you create and share “bubbles”. It’s not complicated, it’s not a new idea, but it is far more logical.

Let me explain! I am subjective in my considerations, but I feel very close to the real thing, to the reality when I’m saying something. I love Google Plus, and I love Pinterest. They offer you something. They offer you ideas expressed in wonderful pics (Pinterest) and a professional venue of communication (GPlus). I don’t feel suffocated by advertising. Twitter is another venue of communication, but more of a news spreader than anything. I love Twitter too, as you know from my posts. Facebook seems the only thing which uses you and is feeding on you. The catch is that being tracked like this, they do a lot of connections, so you may have the feeling that you’ll find your lost friends and dreams on Facebook. But the reality is biting, you are tracked for a lot of other things, your actually a target.

At the opposite pole, Bubblews shows you ads, but it shares its revenues with you, the user. Don’t dream of becoming a millionaire just by posting there, it’s a great probability that you can’t succeed in that even if you write for The New York Times, you have to be payed in advance for a book or something, and your name must be Hilary Clinton I suppose. Then, if you aren’t already a millionaire, you can become one.

Bubblews has already over two hundred thousand users and is growing. They fed you adsense ads, which is all right with me because I check them on my friends blogs or youtube channels. I don’t consider it a waste of time and be assured that a lot of them are tailored specially for me, because of Google, not Facebook. Anyway, the good content of Bubblews will find your heart, and why not trying something new and less classic? I don’t have yet an account, but I’ll keep you wrapped in news as soon as I’m making one.
