Erdoğan to Retract

March 14, 2013 By Daniel Mihai Popescu Leave a Comment

M/V Mavi Marmara

Zionism is defined by some American Congress members as "a non-discriminatory affirmation of Jewish nationhood". The same persons wrote a letter to the Turkish Prime Minister in which they call him to retract his recent remarks that defined Zionism as a crime against humanity. Zionism is not a crime, it is a noble historical enterprise. Zionists generally preferred to speak Hebrew, a Semitic language that developed under conditions of freedom in ancient Judah, modernizing and adapting it for … [Read more...]

stop cispa

This is what I found in my Inbox this morning! I found it important and felt the urge of sharing. There are not affiliate links implied and the promotion is not for the service but against another anomaly! It seems a war on our nerves. They will never stop until we will change something. Take a moment and read this message and think of something sensible. First off, we would like to apologize for sending you another notice so soon after our newsletter. However, this issue came to our … [Read more...]

Zach Galifianakis

Galifianakis has a series of videos on the Funny or Die website titled Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis where he conducts interviews with popular celebrities between two potted ferns. The interviews are short and of course, unusual. He made two parts of Oscar Buzz, interviewing Jennifer Lawrence, Christoph Waltz, Naomi Watts, Amy Adams, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bradley Cooper, Sally Field, as Oscar nominees this year. The celebration, is the 85'th in the Academy History and will … [Read more...]

No more Pope at the End of the Month!

Pope Benedict XVI blessing the Knights of Malta at the Vatican

Less than an hour ago, the news started to change dramatically since the first sources told all the same thing, or variations of the same thing. The longest article seems to be in NYT, which, apart from hosting Friedman, is serious enough to be considered. I have borrowed the pic from them, anyway. I'm not a Catholic, I'm not against them, nor praising. Now the picture is of the old Benedict, who is 85 by the way, blessing members of the Order of the Knights of Malta at the Vatican, this passed … [Read more...]

Aaron Swartz Died!

Aaron and Taren

I was writing about India and Infosys when the news came as a flash on my reader. Of course it isn't "news" since this happened two days ago already, but it is of importance, because I'm a huge admirer or genuine talent and genius, especially so people oriented as Aaron was. Swartz was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment on January 11, 2013. Official Statement from the family and partner of Aaron Swartz Our beloved brother, son, friend, and partner Aaron Swartz hanged himself on … [Read more...]

Skyfall Wet Shave

January 7, 2013 By Daniel Mihai Popescu 2 Comments

British Actor Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz

It was a pleasure to see the wet shaving being promoted so nice in the last James Bond movie. I'm going to review Skyfall in the future, now I only notice that it was one of the best made in the series. More human touched at least, without humanity in the script. So James Bond, the character, uses a straight razor, a silvertip brush and all the other classic shaving accessories, the mug was visible, so it is to be presumed that a soap was on the bottom of it as well. [source] I was … [Read more...]
