After angering his fans by being late almost two hours to his London 02 Arena concert on Monday, the Canadian Justin Bieber was so lame as to not even apologize. The phenomenon over night youtube singer turned world star, took himself too serious and starts to piss off his 12 year old bunch of girl fans. Now the concerns were that they had school the next day. Thing is, this just doesn't do. School or no school next day, you don't keep a few thousand people waiting for two hours for you to give … [Read more...]

John Pilger’s Chavez
Yesterday I was so busy, I couldn't find my head through the things to be done on time. But today is another day, and finally I'm under less stress. The only bad news are that Hugo Chávez died, the rest can wait. I remember two documentaries made on Chávez, by two different colored channels. One was somehow in the grand finance sponsored line, where Chávez was clearly presented as an antidemocratic Khmer Rouge dictator who obviously doesn't know left from right, and the other one was made by the … [Read more...]
Under Attack
America is under an attack to the good taste, but what I say, not only America, the whole world is under the same attack. It seems Jay-Z and Beyoncé are everywhere, as Rihanna and Chris Brown are also everyday in the news. The "music" created by Jay-Z is of a value known by himself. If the next Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart would appear, people won't be able to recognize him, nor to appreciate him. People call "genius" trash like this: But I know that if I stay stunting All these girls only gon' … [Read more...]
Oscars – No Surprises
You already know the Awards, nothing new today. I just want to say it was not a surprise for Best Directing going to Ang Lee, artistically speaking it was as an arrangement for all that to happen. If Argo or Django Unchained were nominated, one of these two would have received the vote. A nice ceremony was what everybody expected and the live performances were up to our hopes. Considering the numbers and the procedures, the business was good as well, all investors had much more than they spent. … [Read more...]
Who Deserves to Win?
With this essay post I have separated a new sub category on this blog, the Awards, which will be as you already guess, the Motion Pictures specialized talk. Everything I know related to Oscars, Globes, Emmy, SAG, and such, will be part from this new sub category. Tonight, the Oscars ceremony will take place and I feel compelled to say a few words about it. I don't feel there were many mistakes this year. Ben Affleck and Quentin Tarantino think they were robbed by Best Director nominations, … [Read more...]
Silver Linings Playbook
Every Oscar season has to have a movie which is non-political, even a comedy or a drama "unrelated with the current events". I'm only joking, considering that Kathryn Bigellow's movie The Hurt Locker won Best Picture almost unrelated with the artistic views of the moment. Anyway, this year, her Zero Dark Thirty is way better and the critics say it's not standing a chance. Silver Linings Playbook is nominated for Best Picture with great chances to win if it wouldn't be for Argo. I used to be … [Read more...]
