I like Argo a lot. It took awards after awards, I was sure they have a reason, and after I saw the movie, I understood why. The movie is flawless and it is a good movie. It is "based on a true story", it wasn't the true story. I read that after presenting the movie at the Toronto Film Festival, the Canadian critics were upset for glorifying the CIA instead the Canadian Ambassador who helped so much. Discussions, nothing more. The Canadians had the credits for twenty years. Khomeini is dead, … [Read more...]

A New Threat to Internet Liberty
This is what I found in my Inbox this morning! I found it important and felt the urge of sharing. There are not affiliate links implied and the promotion is not for the service but against another anomaly! It seems a war on our nerves. They will never stop until we will change something. Take a moment and read this message and think of something sensible. First off, we would like to apologize for sending you another notice so soon after our newsletter. However, this issue came to our … [Read more...]

Galifianakis has a series of videos on the Funny or Die website titled Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis where he conducts interviews with popular celebrities between two potted ferns. It is strange and dark, it is filmed by a compatriot of mine, Mihai Mălaimare Jr., it is directed by Tom Cruise's friend, Paul Thomas Anderson of Magnolia fame. By the way, the premiere was at the Venice Film Festival in … [Read more...]
No more Pope at the End of the Month!
Less than an hour ago, the news started to change dramatically since the first sources told all the same thing, or variations of the same thing. The longest article seems to be in NYT, which, apart from hosting Friedman, is serious enough to be considered. I have borrowed the pic from them, anyway. I'm not a Catholic, I'm not against them, nor praising. Now the picture is of the old Benedict, who is 85 by the way, blessing members of the Order of the Knights of Malta at the Vatican, this passed … [Read more...]

A post by Adriana Popovici. Ah, conspiracy theories! Hacking the maleficent web of world domination. Exposing the plans brewed in the shadows of the Earth. We're all pretty much going to die. There is a chance for a better world, but... it's dim. Yeeet, there is hope. But hope is not enough... Until next time, buy this new book and be enlightened. And buy that one too - the authors promote each other. They're teaching you how to survive the end of the world. And don't miss their conference … [Read more...]
